Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. BATISCAN, Mauricie, October 11, 2016 – The Réseau des SADC et CAE is proud of the announcement made today by François-Philippe Champagne, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance and Member of Parliament for Saint-Maurice–Champlain, on behalf of the Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, the Honourable Navdeep Bains, who is also the Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED), of the implementation of the new Small Business Support initiative.

Thanks to this initiative, which involves $4.5M over three years, entrepreneurs in the regions will be able to access expertise and support through CFDCs and CBDCs for implementing strategies concerning the following major economic challenges:

-          Innovation

-          Business succession and transfer

-          Sustainable development

-          The integration of information technology and online sales

According to Daniel Dumas, President of the Réseau des SADC et CAE, “these issues are significant challenges for businesses in the regions. Managing a business is increasingly complex, and entrepreneurs do not always have the tools to implement a succession plan or an online sales, innovation or sustainable development strategy. Those take time, thought and expertise, and through this initiative, we will be able to help entrepreneurs in their process.”

The four targeted challenges are also important areas of intervention for CFDCs and CBDCs, who are very proactive in these areas.

An additional $4.5M

Quebec’s 67 CFDCs and CBDCs will share $4.5M amongst themselves over three years to allow entrepreneurs access to support and financing to cover up to 90% of the fees charged by specialized professional resources.

For more details about this initiative, entrepreneurs should contact their region’s CFDC or CBDC. To find your CFDC or CBDC, visit www.sadc-cae.ca

Renewed agreements between CFDCs and CBDCs from the Mauricie region and the Government of Canada
Mr. Champagne also took advantage of today’s press conference in Batiscan to unveil the amount allocated to CFDCs and CBDCs in the Mauricie region as part of a new three-year agreement between CED and Quebec’s CFDCs and CBDCs, as announced in July.

The region will receive an injection of $5,349,699 through the Mauricie’s CFDCs and CBDCs: the SADC de la Vallée de la Batiscan, the SADC Centre-de- la- Mauricie, the SADC du Haut St-Maurice, the SADC de la MRC de Maskinongé and the CAE Laprade Trois-Rivières.

These agreements total approximately $86M for all of Quebec and will be an opportunity to strengthen and maintain this productive partnership with the Government of Canada, for the benefit of all citizens of the regions of Quebec.
