{"id":16496,"date":"2026-06-18T16:05:13","date_gmt":"2026-06-18T20:05:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sadc-cae.ca\/?p=16496"},"modified":"2026-06-18T17:15:00","modified_gmt":"2026-06-18T21:15:00","slug":"2025-2026-report-sadc-shawinigan-and-the-laprade-st-maurice-fund-1740315-invested-and-growing-momentum-around-business-succession","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sadc-cae.ca\/en\/2025-2026-report-sadc-shawinigan-and-the-laprade-st-maurice-fund-1740315-invested-and-growing-momentum-around-business-succession\/","title":{"rendered":"2025\u20132026 Report \u2014 SADC Shawinigan and the Fonds LaPrade St-Maurice : $1 740 315 invested and growing momentum around business succession"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"auto\">Shawinigan, June 17, 2026 \u2014 Following their Annual General Metting, the SADC Shawinigan and the Fonds de D\u00e9veloppement \u00c9conomique LaPrade St-Maurice are presenting the results of a 2025\u20132026 year marked by sustained business investment, hands\u2011on support and structuring initiatives in local economic development, with increasing attention devoted to the next generation and business succession.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-2\"><\/div>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\">Financing : investing in boldness and in the next generation<\/h2>\n<h3 dir=\"auto\">Over the past year :<\/h3>\n<ul dir=\"auto\">\n<li class=\"text-start \"><strong>$1 740 315<\/strong> was invested through the SADC and the Fonds LaPrade, generating additional investments of <strong>$10 918 539<\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"text-start \"><strong>39<\/strong> new projects were approved and <strong>37<\/strong> projects had been disbursed as of March 31<\/li>\n<li class=\"text-start \">These interventions helped <strong>create and maintain 315 jobs<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"my-2\"><\/div>\n<p dir=\"auto\">The organizations also note that <strong>45.9 %<\/strong> of projects financed this year were tied to <strong>business acquisition and\/or succession<\/strong>, confirming the strategic importance of business succession for the region\u2019s economic vitality.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-2\"><\/div>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\">Support : by your side, every day<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Support for businesses also took the form of concrete services, notably through our digital transformation support program, <strong>Acc\u00e8sTI\u2011PME | Organisme <\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"auto\">\n<li class=\"text-start \"><strong>22<\/strong> new clients supported<\/li>\n<li class=\"text-start \"><strong>25<\/strong> ongoing clients<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"my-2\"><\/div>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\">Local economic development : growing our region, together<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Key initiatives this year include :<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"auto\">\n<li class=\"text-start \"><strong>Flexipr\u00eat for women<\/strong> (project completed March 31, 2026) : <strong>178<\/strong> flexipreneurs supported; <strong>$1.6M<\/strong> invested by the <strong>11<\/strong> participating SADC and CAE, with benefits for <strong>94<\/strong> businesses<\/li>\n<li class=\"text-start \"><strong>Ta Place \u00e0 Shawi :<\/strong> <strong>15<\/strong> conferences in <strong>4<\/strong> schools, reaching <strong>349<\/strong> students<\/li>\n<li class=\"text-start \"><strong>R\u00e9seau RH Shawi :<\/strong> <strong>4<\/strong>\u00a0activities totaling <strong>177<\/strong> participants<\/li>\n<li class=\"text-start \"><strong>Acc\u00e8sTI Citoyen 2.0 :<\/strong> <strong>28<\/strong> group training sessions (<strong>173<\/strong> attendances) and <strong>462<\/strong> one\u2011on\u2011one support sessions (<strong>570<\/strong> hours)<\/li>\n<li class=\"text-start \"><strong>PING! Program :<\/strong> <strong>130<\/strong> registrations, <strong>40<\/strong> group training sessions and <strong>47<\/strong> support sessions<\/li>\n<li class=\"text-start \"><strong>T\u00eate Premi\u00e8re<\/strong> (psychological support program for entrepreneurs) : for the project as a whole | <strong>80<\/strong> individual follow\u2011ups, <strong>13<\/strong> group cohorts, <strong>800<\/strong> participants and <strong>170<\/strong> front-line professionals supporting entrepreneurs trained.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"my-2\"><\/div>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\">Quotes<\/h2>\n<blockquote dir=\"auto\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">\u201cWhile I am leaving with a sense of accomplishment, I am also leaving with great confidence.
