History
CAE Laprade was created in 2009 through the merger of Fonds Laprade and the Centre d’aide aux entreprises des Trois-Rivières.
The Laprade fund had been created in 1987 to compensate for job losses caused by the abandonment of the heavy water project in Gentilly, which was to bear the Laprade name. The remaining funds were distributed as a special program through 11 funds in the region to contribute to economic development projects.
