The Your Place _in Shawi project is carried out in collaboration with the Carrefour-jeunesse Shawinigan, the City of Shawinigan, and the Centre de services scolaire de l’Énergie. It aims to introduce young people to the best job prospects in Shawinigan, highlight the region’s niches of excellence and new economy businesses, and showcase the high quality of life found in our area.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES
- Familiarize students with local job opportunities
- Identify potential employers
- Explore Shawinigan’s niches of excellence and businesses in the new economy
- Improve the region’s image among young people
- Counter youth outmigration
TARGET AUDIENCE
- Grade 10 students (Secondary 4), as well as students in exploratory or special education programs
- Adult education students
- Participants in various CJE (Carrefour jeunesse emploi) projects and others
- Immigrants on exploratory visits
